Description
Happy New Almanac Year! It’s time to celebrate the 231st edition of The Old Farmer’s Almanac! Long recognized as North America’s most beloved and best-selling annual, this handy yellow book fulfills every need and expectation as a calendar of the heavens, a time capsule of the year, and an essential reference that reads like a magazine. Always timely, topical, and distinctively “useful, with a pleasant degree of humor,” the Almanac is consulted daily throughout the year by users from all walks of life. The 2023 edition contains the fun facts, predictions, and feature items that have made it a cultural icon: traditionally 80 percent–accurate weather forecasts, notable astronomical events and time-honored astrological dates, horticultural, culinary, fashion, and other trends, historical hallmarks, best fishing days, time- and money-saving garden advice, recipes for delicious dishes, facts on folklore, farmers, home remedies, and husbandry, amusements and contests, plus too much more to mention—all in the inimitable Almanac style that has charmed and educated readers since 1792.

Full of useful information and tips with some whimsical info thrown in. I get it every year and use it almost every day for valuable daily information. Offers gardening advice, time and weather tables, astronomical occurrences, and more! Have been using it for years now and I’m never disappointed!

I only use the old farmers almanac. There is so much valuable information. You don’t need to be a farmer to make use of this almanac. This sold out in stores so I had to order online.

Bought this for my mother and grandmother and they both like it. My mother uses it for fishing days and when to cut her hair and my grandmother likes it for plants and fishing days.

I get one of these every year. It’s chock full of ideas and recipes. It’s so much better than a magazine. I can see what time the sun rises and sets every day. It’s just so jam packed with all kinds of interesting information. I love it. Thank you

Wow I have been missing OUT!, I vaguely remembered these always being around the house when I was a kid (parents were fishermen and extended family had a farm), but I have been practicing witchcraft for 20+ years and have never bought myself a Farmer’s Almanac until now. I know!! I was really missing out. Of course there is all kinds of practical information whether you are planting outdoor/indoor plants, raising chickens, want to try new recipes or keep up on trends (for gardening, cooking, grocery shopping, buzzwords, the environment, even new vegetable varieties!). Honestly, I am also a small batch, natural soapmaker and I can think of many ways this information will help me have a better year as a business owner and creator. I especially loved the section this year on Ukranian holiday food- my family is originally from Finland and a lof of the food/customs are similar so it felt like home to read those recipes. But of COURSE there is also some very witchy vibes in these pages as well. Horoscopes, moon cycles (obviously not just useful to witches, but farmers and fishermen too), and even some folklore. I am absolutely getting one of these every year from now on. If you have been getting one every year, I’m not telling you anything you don’t already know but if you are a newbie (either in witchcraft, making natural or small batch crafts/products, or even just wanting to start a container garden in your apartment window), I promise you the Farmer’s Almanac is a *treasure*.
