Description

Strong female friendships and a snappy enemies-to-lovers theme take center stage in this highly anticipated romantic comedy from the USA Today bestselling author of The Dating Playbook . Successful pediatric surgeon London Kelley just needs to find some balance and de-stress. According to her friends Samiah and Taylor, what London really needs is a casual hookup. A night of fun with no strings. But no one—least of all London—expected it to go down at her high school reunion with Drew Sullivan, millionaire, owner of delicious abs, and oh yes, her archnemesis . Now London is certain the road to hell is paved with good sex. Because she’s found out the real reason Drew’s back in Austin: to decide whether her beloved hospital remains open. Worse, Drew is doing everything he can to show her that he’s a decent guy who actually cares . But London’s not falling for it. Because while sleeping with the enemy is one thing, falling for him is definitely not part of the plan. I am amazed by this trilogy let me just Tell you……This friendship these women developed for each other is what this girl inspires to have in life….and the romance was absolutely phenomenal in alk three….. Now about this particular story, everything about it screamed HEEEEEEECCCCK( good word) Yeaaah!!!!…..I have to agree with many others and say LONDON’S story was my favorite! The enemies to lovers troupe never gets old to me, and MS. Rochon didn’t disappoint with this one. The struggle that London faced within herself instead if with Drew was on point. And I love how the major “conflict”, if you will, wasn’t so much between the two main characters, but with their lives and the people in it……There love story was about as sweet , real, and honest as it gets…and I was here for it!!! Drew wore London down so effortlessly, and London fell so hard before she ever realized what was happening to her! Another 5-star in my book…..I read this in Kindle, but something tells me I need to acquire my own personal physical copy to re-read when the power is out and the cloud is messing up!!! Lolol

I loved this story. It was very cute, had an interesting story and some mild spice. The perfect beach/summer read. Definitely something I’d want to read again. Drew is perfection and I love everything about his character. I wouldn’t necessarily categorize the story as enemy to lovers (it depends on how enemy-ish you like your enemies to be). More like rivals to lovers. None of the less, loved their relationship and banter from start to finish.

London and Drew’s story was the perfect way to close this trilogy. The author, Farrah Rochon, touched on several important elements like disrespectful treatment of wo.en in the work place and society, lack of proper self-care and low self-esteem, disfunctional family relationships, as well as inadequate funding for health facilities in low income neighborhoods and rural communities. This book brought so many emotions to the surface, causing me to reevaluate how I view my time the people I allow into my head/ hart space. It would be nice to get a short book showing where each of these ladies and their men are 5 years from now.

I was highly anticipating London’s story in this series. I certainly was not disappointed. London and Drew were high school classmates and she didn’t get along with him during that time. They meet up again after 15 years at their class reunion and end up having a one night stand or so they thought. Since Drew is doing a job for the hospital that London works at, he is sticking around for a while. Despite London saying it’s a one time thing, they can’t keep their hands to themselves. I really enjoyed how Ms. Rochon told this story. I loved how London was able to discover who she truly is and learn to accept love from Drew. This is a true enemies to lovers story which ended up being a soul-searching romance for both Drew and London. I highly recommend this book and suggest that you pick up a copy of this book.

The final book in The Boyfriend Project is a winner. It started slow for me, London was so antagonistic towards Drew I couldn’t see how that would change. Farrah does an excellent job of turning things around for me. London and Drew were able to move past old rivalries to find their HEA.
