The main character Cici, has such a kind heart and gets courageous with her friends about her Taiwanese family, and her determination to bring her grandmother to America, by winning a cooking contest, I was inspired by her to never be shy of my country I was from, the language I speak, and most importantly, never give up and believe in yourself.

It’s a really good book that’s pretty much all I could say. I like how Cici knew what she needed to do and was really focused and dedicated to it.

I loved how in this book the two friend at the finale companion held up signs saying courage and conviction., I recommend this book to cooking lovers and people who need a little more courage and understanding of courage., I gave this book this rating because it was a truly good book! I was impressed how the authors made me really understand courage and understand how hard it is to move away from loved ones. I’m glad they chose this book as a Battle of the Books book or else I would have never read this. It’s a good reading level for many people.
