Here’s how to identify that,” or “but we left (situation) because that’s a different kind, and you can always tell me when (action) happens, so we can address (issue).”, I had PPD due to spousal abuse and there were a few months of anxiety instead of just “Oh, recovery is here,” since I was also shunned for a year and a half after the birth of my second child by my mother. She wouldn’t take the kids ONCE, then became furious when my therapist said she needed to do it weekly., That led to an anxiety attack for months. Knowing one child is hated and lied to, and both should have been aborted, in her words. So, this book is a safe place for my kids to discuss/listen to necessary topics I didn’t know I could address until I read this book., Hang in there, to anyone who can relate.

We checked this book out at the library and my little boy thought that it was hilarious that “Love was brown because sometimes love stinks.” There was a picture of a brown bear who had pooped. Perfect joke for a toddler audience. The new copy we ordered from Amazon had a different brown page. “Love is brown because love is sweet like chocolate.” We were sad.
